How’s it going, everyone? YST here, and today I’m sharing the teams I used to tackle Rotation 3 of the Doom Tower on Normal with my F2P Challenge account. Completing all three rotations on Normal difficulty is always one of my main goals in every F2P series, testing different champions to overcome each wave and boss while picking up those valuable rewards along the way. I’m also working on the Hard difficulty, but I often find myself getting stuck due to a lack of stats and gear at this stage of the game. Let’s dive into the teams I built!

THE DARK FAE
By the time I managed to clear the final boss, The Dark Fae, there was just one week left before the rotation changed. I genuinely thought it would be a lot easier – especially after how simple Stage 80 was with Alure constantly pushing back the Turn Meter. But I quickly realized that without Decrease Speed, even on Normal, Alure alone wasn’t enough to get the job done with my builds. I ended up bringing in an unranked High Khatun to roll the chance of landing Decrease Speed on her A1 for more consistent control.
As I approached the mirrored clones, I relied on Alure to place Decrease Defence & Sleep on the enemies so they couldn’t cut in, followed by Alice wiping them out, and then High Khatun immediately placing Decrease Speed with her A1. Since the boss has a chance of placing True Fear on allies, I had to bring in Inquisitor Shamael to keep my turn cycle running smoothly. Without him acting as my secret weapon, I was constantly missing turns, losing control of the fight, and watching the run fall apart as the boss banished Alice, who has the highest attack on my team and was wiping me out.
The boss still managed to banish an ally, but I was able to control their Turn Meter and take down the cloned Alice. After two big AOE hits – one of which took out High Khatun – I finally finished the fight in 82 turns. Unfortunately… the Void Shard ended up being a crappy Rare, but getting the avatar was a great milestone to check off the list! Ideally, if I had Khatun built faster to boost the team and a stronger crowd control option (which I’m lacking on the account), it could have gone a lot smoother – but a win’s a win, and we’ll take it!

CELESTIAL GRIFFIN
The Griffin was actually the easiest of the four bosses I had to face this rotation, and I managed to defeat it using Auto Battles while farming resources to forge some Guardian gear. At Stage 110, I thought I might need to bring in Opardin Clanfather to counter the boss’s debuff transfer, but I was able to withstand the hits and cleanse the debuffs using both Uugo and Mad Hatter.
The key to this fight is avoiding buffs at the start, as the Griffin’s damage increases by 10% for each buff removed. Placing an AoE Block Debuffs on the following turn helps counter the transfer mechanic. Other than watching for the boss’s active effects – so you can let buffs wear off and have the right skills ready – it’s basically a race against time. With each Sky Bond stack, the Griffin gains 5% ATK, 3% C. RATE, 5% C. DMG, and 2.5% SPD, while eventually ignoring some protection effects after hitting 10 stacks. You’ll also want to avoid Turn Meter reduction to prevent getting stunned, and be cautious with Turn Meter fill effects, as the Griffin mirrors them and can build Sky Bond stacks faster, which you want to avoid.
For my team, I used a combination of Ally Attack from Mad Hatter, Decrease Defence and Weaken, multiple damage dealers, cleansers, and a protected Brimstone for additional damage. I was able to clear the boss in just 47 turns on full auto!

BOMMAL THE DREADHORN
Earlier in the series, I was lucky enough to pull one of the best Epic champions in the game for soloing Bommal – Lady Annabelle. She’s capable of clearing any Bommal stage on both Normal and Hard difficulties, though the stat and gear requirements to survive the hits become much tougher on Hard. Similar to my experience with the Dark Fae, I thought this would be an easy fight. However, due to my lack of Regeneration gear, I really struggled to hit the stats I needed to recover from the boss’s damage.
Instead, I opted for my best Immortal gear, which provides +15% HP for each set equipped and heals by 3% every turn. I built her with six pieces, while stacking as much Speed, HP, and Defence as I could to get through the Normal difficulty – and I finally managed to pull it off!
The reason this champion can defeat Bommal comes down to her unique passive, which heals her by 50% of her MAX HP whenever an ally or enemy dies. Since the Dreadbombs are considered enemies, she heals every time one detonates, allowing her to sustain through the massive damage they deal. On top of that, her A1 heals her by 3% with each hit, and when combined with Immortal or Regeneration gear, she’s able to recover enough to survive Bommal’s attacks as well. Her Spirit affinity also helps, as it occasionally results in weak hits from Bommal, keeping her alive during critical moments.

THE SCARAB KING
Since I had Alure, I was really hoping to pull a Shield champion like Metalshaper, a Rare who brings a two turn cooldown AOE Shield for the team. Without Shields active, the Scarab retaliates through his Easy Prey passive, placing Provoke on any champion not under a Shield. My plan was to keep Shields up constantly, use Alure to prevent the boss from taking turns, and equip an ally with Destroy gear to reduce the boss’s MAX HP.
That said, the best Shield options I had were from Artifact Sets, Tagour’s A3 – which is on a long cooldown – and some buff extenders to keep the Shields active as long as possible. The strategy worked to a point, but it kept falling apart midway through the fight. So, I switched things up. Tagour, built with high Resistance and Immortal gear, combined with Kael for Poisons, eventually pushed me through the fight. Kael did die a few times during the run, but his Poisons helped speed things up after each revival, and the Shields from Tagour gave him time to recover.
If only I had a Bloodshield accessory for Alure, I might have been able to solo it – but it was still awesome to see my starter code Epic and starter champion get the job done!
